“South China Sea Paradise - easy ferry trip from Singapore”

Nirwana Gardens is a family based resort in Bintan, Indonesia - an easy 55 minute ferry ride from Singapore. The is a great SE Asia paradise escape if you are doing a trip this part of the world. The beaches at Nirwana Gardens are beautiful white sand and nicer than Phuket, Thailand and a whole lot more relaxed. Nirwana is not a posh hotel. If you want posh - go to Banyan Tree. If you want golfing, go to Laguana Beach Resort with 2 eighteen hole golf courses. If you want relaxed and on a budget, then go to Nirwana.

Good for a short getaway from Singapore in a cosy, relaxed environment. Not super luxurious, so if you are looking for that, this is probably not the place. It is good and affordable, ideal for a short break. My room was nice and clean, and the staff very friendly.

Been to Nirwana Gardens four times and very happy with every visit. Good location, good food and value for money.

“Family weekend break..”

On arrival we were met by the shuttle bus to the hotel, very well organised and had a warm welcome with a welcome drink, arrived early morning but room wasn't available until 2,00pm which was ok as we used all the facilities and had lunch, Hotel grounds are superb and looked after really well, shuttle bus around the complex is every half hr and prompt, we were staying in the Banyu Biru houses on the complex and it was beautiful surroundings with it's own pools/sauna's available to use , If staying in these accommodation then there is a buggy service that will pick you up within 5 min's of a phone call to take you around the complex ( excellent service) It was Chinese new year and we had oranges and an envelope of gold choc coins delivered to our house ( lovely gesture- even being British i appreciated it ) The inside of the houses are a let down, old, grubby, and worn out, the cleaners do the basic, we never received clean towels in our 2 night stay - even though i am sure they would have delivered some if asked, Lots of restaurants on site, much the same food in all, Breakfast buffet ok, really organized towards the Asian guests but acceptable , Would we return? yes we would, i can see why it is a 4 star as it ticks all the required boxes, be prepared for it not being perfect, It needs renovating inside rooms/houses and a really good clean!! but on the outside looks great, has all the facilities a family with a 12/13 yr old needed, It was a great escape from Singapore !

“Nice Resort”

Nice large rooms. Big pool which is kept very clean. Staff are very friendly. Lots of tar on the beach prevented us swimming on the beach however.

“Great finish to an overseas trip.”

An excellent experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the hotel offering great variety of facilities for dining and recreational activities. Although expensive for Indonesia, it must remembered that you are staying in a resort. It was the perfect way to end our overseas trip to London.

“Good Affordable time”

Had a very nice time. We enjoyed BinTan very much. The Staff was helpful and we also we able to find our way around easily. The pool is awesome, great pool bar and great scenery.
