Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. From the hotel you can easily take a boat trip to Samalona Island. It takes only 25 min. "This is such an old building. The strong stench in the hallway of mold and cigarettes. Furniture in rooms is so old, window curtains are stained and the beds are very uncomfortable. The dining hall has dated and dirty furniture. "

"Well its not the Ritz, its not the cleanest or best looking hotels. But the beds are lovely, the water peessure is perfect and the pool is a great escape from the hot sweaty streets. Breakfast is filling too. Just don't look to closely at the condition of the building. I would stay here again for sure."

Restaurant furniture was very old, cracked, broken covering, food served at buffet was cold. "Booked 4 rooms for 3 nights. pre-paid and 1 room for 4 nights. One guest who arrived early had to move rooms because of condition of 1st, then the hotel boiler failed resulting in loss of hot water throughout hotel and restaurant was temporary pending refurb. The rest of us didnt even bother going and we all moved to the excellent Melia for our extended stay."
