"Good hotel in Urumqi. Not walking distance from Urumqi Train Station, but a short taxi ride distance approx. 3-4km. And short roughly 20 min taxi to airport. 2 out of 3 staff provided excellent customer service as follows. Arrived early on Saturday morning and the male staff checked the weather forecast and even used his mobile phone to check DiDi (China version of Uber) fare to the airport from the hotel for me. He told me that the hotel staff can book the DiDi or taxi for me tomorrow ie Sunday...

"It’s supposed to be the nicest hotel in Urumqi - and it is in terms of the physical property itself. Nice clean and well maintained decor. Location is not bad. However, a few things that are not fitted for a hotel of it’s status: 1. The concierge is located at the ground floor entrance and not at the upper floor lobby next to the reception. "Not bad, but not great. Hot water was iffy. Checkout is at 8am! Who's up at 8am when on vacation? Had a leaking sink that they just couldn't fix, which meant water leaked out onto my sink and floor. Had some issues with service personnel. Kind of hard to find. I would not recommend it. At the same time, it was okay. Food was great, and they fed us breakfast and supper. Place was really clean. "
