"This is probably the best hotel for the money I have ever seen. It was really a spectacular place. It compares well with such great values as The Salisbury Hotel in Hong Kong. The staff was remarkably well trained. The were fluent in English and very attentive. The room itself was huge, looked brand new and was extremely well decorated. "Overall was excellent. Conciege staff and manager were helpful and kind. Had some little problem with the sofa, and the hotel was so kind to offer a change of room for us. We didnt take up the offer as our friends were just staying the room beside us. Excellent service. Morning breakfast can be better improve. Will definitely stay here again if back to Nanjing."

Hotel counter staff do not appear familiar with basic tourist information and could be better equipped with local knowledge of tourist attractions, transport to other places outside Nanjing, where to locate certain landmarks etc..."

"They allow SMOKING in this property. We have asked for non smoking rooms and when we went to our room, it was smelling smoke. We went back to talk to the receptionist and we saw someone smoking in the corridor. They have ask trays by the elevator door. We went to complain but they said nothing they can do. "Staff helpful when complained about my earlier room that is stained with tobacco smell. People spat into plants in hotel lobby and smoked in elevators but this is my persistent complaint about China in general. Quite a lot of mainland Chinese don't seem to be able to understand the basic hygiene and health implications with such behaviours."
