"This was our first visit to the hotel and we were very impressed. Driving up to the hotel through the golf course showed the size of the hotel and leisure facilities. Check-in and the room ( we had a family room) were as you would expect. We tried the golf range and shooting which were very enjoyable. Breakfast was also very tasty and plenty of choice. Overall definitely be returning. "

"The hotel is beautiful. Unfortunately it is in a busy part of town meaning you can hear people leaving the pubs/clubs late at night. Due to the age of the building it was hard to get a flow of fresh air so everywhere felt too hot. But the room had air con. The staff were lovely and friendly. "Good and bad. Room clean and comfortable. Staff helpful. Pillows felt if they were full of little foam balls, and mattress very soft but slept well, once the outside music stopped. On Friday and Saturday nights the music is tired up loud and the bright young things of Chester come out to play.
