"Room was really clean and modern. View was over some untidy residential apartments and they can look into the rooms, so felt had to keep curtains drawn. Walls paper thin and really noisy neighbour who was extremely loud and you can hear everything! You can hear taps running and every part of conversation. Nice deck on roof if not too busy but again very noisy and not very restful. Pool tiny. Ok for the 1 night stay, but any longer would have been a struggle. But like a Travelodge in the UK, would not rate a 4*"

"Quite possibly the best hotel we have stayed at. The service from the staff start to finish was superb, they made my wife’s early 40th birthday an absolute treat. The setting is beautiful and the quality of the hotel rooms are equally. What really impressed was the quality of the food in the evenings and especially at breakfast. "This hotel was wonderful. It’s out of the main tourist area in a quiet, traditional village. The town square is just a few minutes walk from the hotel and has various bars and cafes. The main tourist area is 5 minutes drive away which we travelled to on a few occasions. For those without a car the bus stop is about 200m away from the hotel. The hotel itself was perfect for us. Only 27 rooms across two floors. Rooms were soundproofed and apart from passing people in the corridor/stairways we hardly aware of anyone else in the hotel. We stayed in the Royal Suite which I can 100% recommend. A large room with stone steps leading to a private rooftop terrace with large sunbed and jacuzzi. Views of the castle and countryside were lovely. Breakfast was good, continental self serve plus a selection of warm food available to order. The hotel was clean, staff were attentive and the decor was lovely. The whole experience allowed us to wind down and relax in record time. We ate in the hotel one evening and the meal was delicious. Three courses with a bottle of wine came to around 200euros but it was a nice treat for us. The spa was very clean with nice facilities (jacuzzi, sauna, indoor pool) but only 6/8 loungers are available, although there is other seating around the pool. All in all we can’t wait to find the time to come back and stay at this hotel again. "

"The hotel has a very vintage style, but the room felt quite old, which made me feel a bit uneasy. During my stay, I personally experienced some eyelid inflammation. I cannot determine the exact cause, but after changing hotels, the discomfort improved noticeably. Guests who are sensitive to room conditions or bedding may want to take this into consideration. "
