Hostels in Alajuela Province

"This was my favorite hostel out of all the hostels I stayed in in Costa Rica. The blending of beautiful scenery with a bar overlooking the river and the hamburgers were amazing and so are the night walks!!"

"The staff was really nice and helpful."

"We enjoyed our stay very much would recommend "

"Great place, cheap, serves the purpose"

"Good stay, friendly staff, airport shuttle"

"Comfortable room, convenient location, reasonable price "

"Probably the best vacation we have ever had largely because of this location, quality of the room, and the exceptional service. Restaurant was amazing."

"Very nice hostel for a very reasonable price. I would recommend this hostel for other travelers"

"Everything about my stay was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, helpful and attentive. The breakfast was delicious, the cleanliness was impeccable, and the entire accommodation was beautifully maintained and comfortable. Every little detail was perfect, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hospitality was outstanding, and I felt completely at home. I would highly recommend this place to...

"Convenient location"

"Unit is very clean, in good, newer condition. Conveniently located but hard to find as it lacks prominent signage to indicate you're at the right place; and has no "front desk" to check in at when you arrive which is problematic as its just a house in the midst of many others. There is a bar/club nearby that goes til 2:30AM each night. Pack ear plugs. The A/C worked well. Good base of operations for visiting the stites. "

"Breakfast was included in our booking. The 1st day we had to wait almost an hour for someone to make breakfast. Day #2 get got a cold sandwich w cheese and ham. We stayed in a private room on the first floor. The room was near the lobby/entrance and kitchen. It was a bit noisy at times. Overall location was nice. Close to stores within walking distance "

"Staff was kind and friendly but the beds are a little uncomfortable with hard to climb ladders. The sheets kept coming off and the entire bed moved when the top or bottom person shifted on rolled over. The toilet was broken and wouldn’t flush so you had to reach into the top water to lift the flap. We had the room on the outside so in the morning you had to climb out the bedroom window to access the kitchen and common area. "

"We arrived and the place look abandoned and trashed. It does not exist anymore. No one there, the phones are not answered and we couldn’t stay at this place"

"Se pagó el hospedaje mediante la aplicación, al llegar al hotel estaba cerrado, en mantenimiento, perdí mi día entero de vacaciones buscando donde hospedareme, tengan cuidado, afortunadamente hotels me ayudo"

"Amazing downtown location "

"The reception was very nice, it felt very safe and clean"

"Best location in town. Very clean and a friendly staff "

"Great hostel situated in a nice neighbourhood, 5 minutes walk from the centre including the supermarkets and bus terminal (the centre is frankly not as pleasant as the suburbs). Rooms have secure key codes, and lockers are situated in the communal kitchen which is large, clean and well equipped. Everything was good. Would recommend."
