"Room was clean and comfortable. In the small refrigerator there were two hardboiled eggs, yogurt, and granola bars. Nice not having to find a place for breakfast. There is a meeting room down the hall with extra coffee and I think there was cereal available also. Outside of that room is a nice deck area with tables and chairs. Nice quiet place to spend a couple of nights."

However, customer service is a huge plus for me and upon checking in, the front desk clerk appeared annoyed that I had a dog - again, Expedia did not offer this when I registered. "We only stayed one night, but the place was perfect for it. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. We would have stayed longer if we had the time."

"No frills room for a quick stop over. Location is great-not particularly picturesque, but convenient to the highway. Cabin smelled very musty to us and the sheets had a polyester content that was not comfortable to me. However, I am pretty picky. So, many travelers might not even notice. Gift shop was big. Most items were fairly typical souvenirs. Check-in was a snap and communication beforehand was really easy."

"Very nice lodge! Water pressure and hot water not very good. Breakfast buffet very good, but $26 per person. Suggest eating light in the coffee shop inside the gift shop. Terrific coffees and breakfast sandwiches and pastries will save some money. Good shuttle to downtown, $10 per person day pass. Staff was very nice. Take a walk in the gardens along the river...beautiful."

"This was our favorite stay on our entire trip. The room was large and comfortable. When reserving it, the list of amenities indicated no towels or sheets provided, but that was not the case. Everything necessary, including shampoo, conditioner and body wash was available, as well as a microwave, Keirig, mini fridge, and a delicious homemade loaf of banana bread."

"This is a beautiful facility, as nice as many of the 5-star places I have stayed in the lower 48. The rooms were very clean and very well-appointed. As fans of coffee we really appreciated the Nespresso machines in each room. We had a great dinner at the main restaurant there and joined the “30% club” with a beautiful view of Denali from our table. The staff were polite and attentive. It’s a short drive to downtown Talkeetna and self-parking (which I greatly prefer to valet parking) is easy...
