"I was surprised this is listed as a 4 star hotel. I had a balcony room that was large and working AC. Furniture was old, desk had no chair. End table in the bathroom to hold toiletries. No microwave, no coffee machine or tea kettle. There was a working mini fridge. No on site restaurant. After the continental breakfast I had to go out or order from Uber Eats. "Hotel was beautiful and situated in the heart of old town Cascais with access to small boutiques and all the restaurants you can possibly imagine. We spent a few nights here after Lisbon which was only a 40 min train ride (7 min walk to hotel Baia). We took full advantage of all Cascais had to offer, all conveniently located from hotel Baia - we visited multiple beaches (including the one outside the hotel), swam at the rooftop pool, biked alongside the coast, visiting Boca do Inferno...

"The only thing that upset me and I know it was not intentional, but after my room was cleaned my door was left slightly opened/unlocked. I was a bit startled because I was coming back from the night out and just prayed that all my stuff was there, which they were! Please just let this be a lesson to the staff that cleans to always double check the doors and ensuring it is closed fully. I did inform front desk right away and hopefully the message was relayed.
Sophia at front desk was the best!...
