Bartender was snotty to us for no reason… he didn’t want us to open our hotel supplied wine and take it to our room since there were no corkscrews..insisted on our ordering room service instead and he could have at least been a little nice about..was very indignant and snappy..

In fact the hotel is a pretty old building and not in the best condition. The rooms are nice in size and had everything needed.The area is pretty nice and the view was spectacular. All employees are friendly and helpful during the stay.

The staff were really welcoming and helpfull Hotel position is fantastic with well appointed grouds and pool and position overlooking a superb beach. Hotel room a little dated but compensated with a lovely balcony view Exceptionally clean everywhere would return and stay again

Well situated overlooking a beautiful beach, great pool and enough sunbeds for everyone. Professional team looking after every detail at this property. Unfortunately the Aircon in the rooms is not turned on until May. I was provided with a portable air conditioner when I requested a fan, so I didn't have an issue with the heat.

I loved that Algar Hotel was near the beach where some beautiful rock formations were located. Also extremely close to the boardwalk, restaurants and beach. What a lovely dining experience as well. Everyone was so very nice.

Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend. Wir verbrachten mitte Februar eine Nacht in diesem Hotel und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war sauber und der hoteleigene Sandstrand ist sehr schön und direkt vor dem Hotel. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet alles was man sich wünscht und war sicher eines der Besten auf unserer Reise.

Séjour agréable, la chambre est spacieuse et avec une très belle vue sur la mer. Personnel à l'écoute des clients. Le petit déjeuner est bien fourni. Accès au casino depuis l'hôtel. Petit bémol parking gratuit sécurisé à 5min à pied de l'hôtel ou sur place mais payant. Piscine accessible même en février.

great stay !
an enjoyable stay out of season so fairly quiet and chilled. Breakfast was great and varied, view from sea balcony was amazing and easy to walk to the beach, parking near by easy . staff were fantastic and very polite both at reception and for food and drink. thanks will stay again.

Rating as “ EXCELLENT “this hotel would be awarded from us in regards the location, wide spectacular beach and board walk. Such a relaxing place to be. We were less impressed with option of renting their bicycles… with quite a high fee for something that was advertised for free rental but also as a guest I would like to see that as a part of the service and facilities. We received that we were given VIP room by an email afterwards but we were not even aware of this privileged opportunity during our stay…. By the meaning of the standard.

When we arrived in our room, we found we had been upgraded to Seaview which was really nice! Room was really nice and spacious. Steps down to the lovely boardwalk along the beach! The breakfast was really nice, my son loved using the Pancake machine! The only downside to the hotel is, as its a 5* hotel, you would expect an indoor pool and not have to pay for the jacuzzi, sauna steam room. We enjoyed our stay!
