"First time stayers. Not just my room, but the entire hotel was very clean consider considering the fact that it was a pet friend friendly hotel. Stay was very peaceful. Jamie was friendly, happy and helpful and I appreciate that! A smile goes a long way! Overall I’m happy and satisfied and definitely would stay again!"

We requested a top floor room, but was told that because we booked with Expedia, they could not accommodate our request because Expedia assigns the room. We book through Expedia all the time and this was the first time they would not change our room. However, we had a pleasant stay."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay. Our king room on the first floor was very comfortable, spotless, had a large bathroom, and even a little back deck. The historic property was beautifully restored and clearly very well cared for by innkeeper Veronica and her team. Veronica's gourmet breakfasts were a huge treat, different every morning, and served with attention to every detail in the elegant dining room. Veronica was happy to share suggestions on activities and restaurants in the area....

"The hotel was clean and centrally located for our vacation to Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island. Really, the only big complaint was breakfast was subpar. The only decent thing was making your own waffles. Bacon was paper-thin and greasy. Egg bites were less than flavorful. You get the idea. Some fresh pastries would have been nice.
