We travel through Iowa every year at this time and usually stayed here. I won't be staying again, the condition and cleanliness has gone downhill. The excuse is that the pool is undergoing repair but there is mud caked in the elevator and along the hallway carpeting. This should be cleaned up daily but it looks like it hasn't been ever vacuumed. The TV didn't work and after getting a new remote from the front desk, it still didn't work. The shower head was practically falling off. But the breakfast was good that's why 2 stars, merely poor instead of terrible.

The hotel was okay the woman at the desk helped us out and was very nice. But starting at 5:00 a.m. in the morning there were people talking really loudly right in the area where my room was and as such I didn't sleep very well. The shower head in the shower was not adjustable and was at a very strange angle. I would say the mattress was terrible my impression it was very old and uncomfortable. Combination of bad mattress and noisy other guests left me wishing I had stayed someplace else. I might try again but I would be very sure where my room is located in advance I was near the lobby maybe that was why I was so noisy super early in the morning. I didn't eat breakfast so I can't comment.

The hotel is older and the pool is pretty gross. We had cold showers the first night so they moved our room and the water in the next room was just lukewarm. On the positive side the staff are very nice and friendly and the beds were comfortable.

The breakfast was an unexpected treat. Eggs, 3 types of meat, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and giant muffins, along with the typical packaged fair. The room was ok, dated, but they allow pets for a nominal fee and it was super quiet. I would 100% stay again if passing that way.
