"I was not really happy with the room I was given. I booked a normal room, but received a room for an impaired person. I was put in room 1. The shower was a wet floor shower, which was not too bad, but the bed was terrible. The mattress had collapsed and I ended up sleeping ( actually I didn't sleep) in a dip, ended up with body aches."

"The Guinness Arms had character rooms and the hallway was just as nice. Our room had aircon and also a skylight which had retractable blinds if you wanted to look at the sky or not. Room was clean and cosy with coffee and tea facilities. A bottle of water was also supplied with a selection of biscuits. Iron and board in cupboard for those who want to sort the creases out. "My accommodation was perfect, with everything that I needed and I even had a garage to put my car into. The owner was very pleasant and helpful, and I would love to use this B&B in future. On this occasion I did not have breakfast as I was going out for an early lunch.."

"Arrived to find the place locked up and had to make a phone call for someone to come to the pub to give us our room key. Apparently there was a problem of having no electricity due to the heat. No evening meal available and no bar; breakfast was average, with some folk having to wait a long time for service. The place was clean and room was comfortable."

"The property was very dated, with a need of a deep clean and decor update. Carpets were stained and our particular room had a unpleasent smell. Overall the property has seen better days, I guess this is reflected in a lower than average room price for the area. "What a lovely place to spend time on you travels! A lovely property set in a rural location, great facilities and an excellent bar/restaurant. The weather was fabulous that day so spent the evening in the lovely beer garden, but indoor dining rooms/spaces also looked good. The welcome was warm and efficient (I’d only booked a few hours before turning up) and the staff really made the stay very pleasant/comfortable. Definitely a place to stay if you’re in the area."
