I rarely write reviews, but this stay was frustrating from start to finish. When I arrived, there was some kind of miscommunication between Expedia and the hotel — DoubleTree’s system showed my reservation as canceled, even though it was still active on Expedia. I ended up waiting almost an hour in the lobby for the refund and had to rebook on the spot.
Once I finally got to my room, it looked fine overall, but there was no hair dryer. I called the front desk several times and no one answered, so I had to go downstairs twice just to get one. The first time I was told it was “behind the door,” but it wasn’t — which meant another trip back to the front desk.
Finally, I was disappointed that the hotel wouldn’t accommodate a late check-out. Other brands like Marriott and Hyatt have always been flexible with complimentary late check-outs, but DoubleTree told me they couldn’t extend mine because I booked through a third party. They only offered a “discount” instead, which felt unreasonable for a Hilton-brand property.
Overall, the room itself was fine, but the service and communication made this stay far below expectations.
