"Excellent stay at the Chequers Inn again for a week for the New Year. Beautiful room, good food, clean, lovely staff - shout out to Angela who went above & beyond for us! Lovely compassionate email sent to us following the very sad death of my Dad whilst we were away. Only downside - the bar closed at 10:30pm on New Years Eve! We will definitely return."

"The room was very clean & tidy & the bathroom had nice soaps, shower caps, shower gels & body lotion nicely presented. Staff were helpful & friendly."

"The room was just what we wanted, with two twin beds. The wi-fi worked easily, and the bathroom was very up-scale. The lounge felt welcoming, which expanded the size of our living space. We loved the breakfast, which was both professionally put together and personalized. We felt welcomed by the hosts, who gave us excellent directions and suggestions. A very pleasant stay!"

"Had a great stay here. Bonus was the entertainer in the bar area (Jules). Comfy sitting areas around hotel. Bed and pillows comfy with good hot water in shower. Staff were also excellent and very helpful. "

"Unfortunately due to illness, I was unable to journey to The Sight. I attempted three times to contact Hotels.com via their support email address to explain the situation but never received a reply. When contacted by The Wight as to my non arrival,I sent a message 'Caancelled Booking' (("

"We had a beach view room which was spacious and had an absolutely stunning view over the beach and cliffs over a distance. We came to the island for my son’s fossil hunting. He’s 9. We listened to the high tides at night, absolutely worth it. Even with the window open, it’s still warm during the day in the winter. Will revisit. "

"We had a room with balcony and sea view which was excellent. Breakfast was very good, cooked items could sometimes have been a little better ( compared with previous visit in 2024), and the same goes for the dinner on a few occasions. But overall the standard is high. Staff all friendly, professional and helpful. A lift would be helpful"

"This is not my first visit and it won't be my last. Location is good, hotel is good and staff are friendly. Whats not to like."
