"We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 boys ages 15 and 13) and we stayed 2 nights in the Novotel München City Arnulfpark in early July 2026. We parked on the street and found street parking to be generally adequate for our stay. Check in went smoothly The room was clean and relatively well-appointed, but it felt relatively small and stuffy. We were visiting during hot weather, and the room's AC didn't seem to adequate to truly cool the room. Our room briefly lost electricity due to the electric kettle short circuiting the room's power. The staff was relatively responsive, but ultimately not that helpful (they didn't replace the kettle that was shorting things out, and we reset the breaker ourselves after a second power outage and simply didn't have use of a kettle after that). This episode was annoying. We liked that the hotel had lots of useful common spaces, a foosball table, and a gym and sauna - and we also liked the fruit basket at the front desk. The location of the hotel is ok - it is relatively central but Old Town Munich too far away for a short walk so one needs to take transit, drive, or make a longer walk to get there. The room felt overpriced for what we got, but perhaps that is more of a reflection on the hotel market in Munich. It wasn't terrible, but not our favorite place to stay. We stayed at Novotel in both Berlin and Munich and had similar "meh" experiences at both places."
