"Overall the hotel was great. The barn door style for the bathroom was not very private for our family. And the restaurant was closed during our stay, though we were not aware that would be the case. Great to have a quiet oasis with personality."

"Room was small and kinda dated. The shower is awful, lower water pressure and a waterfall style at the top of the tall ceiling, so the by the time it hits someone under 6 foot feels like a light sprinkle. There is zero counter space in the bathroom and the lighting is dim. Bed was comfortable and thermostat worked great to keep the room cool. Staff was friendly and the location of the hotel is amazing! The parking included in the cost of the stay makes it a great option despite the drawbacks...

"All 3 days of my stay the juice machine was out of service for breakfast and not enough seating. Considering the expensive daily rate you’d think they would have another machine as back up as well as enough tables seats. Also house keeping is only by request. I came back to my room expecting it to be cleaned and towels bedding replaced but I was sadly mistaken. Also I acquired a bug bite of some sort the first night sleeping there. "Omg…. This place was old school Hollywood at its finest! Fantastic location on a quiet residential street just off Melrose. The cottages are adorable and well appointed. The staff is friendly and attentive, but note they front desk closes at 5pm, so arrangements need to be made if you arrive later (which they totally accommodate)! It’s like a Bed and Breakfast but without the breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again!"

"Tropicana Bar breakfast and lunch are amazing. Pool is a vibe. Dinner restaurant was fancy. Lobby and building are historic, iconic, and beautiful. Quick walk to Sunset and Hollywood Blvd."

"Stayed one night and we quite enjoyed it. The bed was very comfortable. The room was a fair size in the bathroom was quite large shower was amazing and wonderful water pressure. The breakfast buffet was hot and fresh and had a decent selection underground parking was also available for $35 a night US, but it was very well lit and clean our room overlooked the pool, which was very pretty and lit up at night time as well. I would definitely stay there again. There was no outside noise heard from...
