This was a wonderful, relaxing stay. The hotel, the food, the hospitality, the rooms-everything was excellent. We will definitely be back, and our next stay will be much longer.
The staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is neat and tidy. It has shuttle bus service from Asahikawa station and shuttle bus service to the winter festival as well. The onsen and meal are great.
A popular hotel that is visited by tour bus of tourist. The carpark almost always seems full but still able to find lots. The restaurant is also crowded but still beathable. More chinese and english speaking staff here. The 3 baths are amazing. Room size is also comfortable.
Very well maintained and constant refurbished hotel since Showa period.
Full of nature attractions. Dinner & breakfast are excellent. Hotel did many activities In conjunction w 70th anniversary. Souvenir shop has lots of Hokkaido related items. We can even observed deers in the wild.
3 big Onsen bath with excellent views.
Due to very remote position, better to have self drive to for better access.
Japanese standard room was very spacious, although a bit worn around the edges.
The rooftop outdoor onsen had a spectacular view of the snowy mountains at sunset.
The food offered in the standard half board option was ok, not great, very cafeteria like.
If you're passing thru the area, it's a good option bc of the onsen, but I wouldn't go out of my way to stay there again.

No tattoos allowed
We booked this onsen hotel for two nights after being told by email that we could reserve a private onsen upon check-in for 5,000 yen. However, when we arrived, we were informed that no private baths were available. Since I have three medium-sized tattoos that can’t be covered with bandages, we couldn’t use the public onsen and ended up spending most of our time in the room doing laundry instead. I did use the small bathtub in our room, but it definitely wasn’t the relaxing onsen experience we were hoping for.
We stayed in a Japanese-style room, which could have been cleaner, there was dust on the shelves, some black mold stains in the bathtub, and even a toenail on the tatami mat. The hotel itself is quite large and felt very crowded. Next time, we’d probably choose a smaller, more personal place to stay.
On the positive side, the buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious food options.
The hotel is huge and it splits into 3 wings, each wing has its own Onsen.
Free welcome drinks at the lobby, impressive buffet breakfast and dinner.
Nice and clean bedroom and friendly staff.
Very nice hotel, check in was good, room was typical Japanese with everything you could want, food was very good & spa was great. No issues, would return
