"The hotel manager and staff were telling us a dozen times that we should have booked from the hotel directly and not use third party services such as Expedia. The clerks at the check-in desk didn’t know how to use their system, took three people to figure out the check in. We stayed one night in one room and other two nights in another room and the staff was very unhelpful - no late checkout or early check in whatsoever. We had a sense that they even enjoyed our discomfort. Having stayed in two rooms, only the ocean view room was nice the other was shabby."

"The room I originally checked into had trash in it, and reeked of marijuana, like someone just left before I arrived. In between bed n floor looked nasty upon check in, no one told me of anything like is breakfast or coffee available and i was spending 2 nights. Dogs barking loud off and on I am never coming back to this location or booking at Sonesta again !!!!"

"Ava and Christina at the front desk were both helpful and lovely. Our ocean front room was very nice and reasonably priced for the Jersey Shore. The bar and music seemed very nice and it looks like renovations on the river side rooms are happening. Our room did have a few small ants but other than that was very clean. The balcony was very nice as well as the pool. We would definitely return."

"We had a decent stay. All staff members we interacted with were very kind. Lobby is cozy, outside is pretty. Appreciated that they allow dogs for a reasonable fee. The room was clean but felt like it could use some updating. We slept very well in the beds. When you first sit down they don't seem like they will be comfortable but they actually are. And lots of pillow options! I feel like there was a pillow for all preferences. The HVAC system does rattle quite a bit if turned up high. The only real complaint I had (and I did not bring this up, because what is staff going to even do about it?) was the smell of the water. Very strong sulfur odor from the sinks and shower. Otherwise, good stay overall. It was very quiet there. The breakfast is fine if you just want something quick like bagels/toast, etc. There's no hot/cooked foods, and we opted for something else two of the three days, but it's good enough to just grab something to get your day going. We didn't spend a ton of time there since we were visiting family but overall it seemed like a nice place and the price was more reasonable than where we usually stay when we're in town."

"The bungalow is one of our favorite hotels. We have a wonderful experience every single time. Staff is so personable and attentive. Lynn at the front desk is excellent! The hotel has a great location. The rooms are so nice, clean and spacious. We stayed in the two bedroom and couldn’t be happier. Best bathtub ever."

"Rim was clean plenty of towels and washcloths. There does seem to be some full time residence here. 1 or 2 night guests should not be given a room next to them. They're loud car starting at six a m for them to go to work.Well it's not pleasant"
