All Saints Church - footpath through churchyard. For a view of All Saints church see > 1614081. This public footpath turns off The Street. It traverses the churchyard and follows a track across fields to the north of it, leading to the village of Wreningham, further to the north-east.

All Saints Church. All Saints church dates from the 13th century. Its large south porch houses a priest's chamber which can be reached by a stone staircase. The perhaps most noteworthy feature inside the church is the alabaster tomb of Sir Edmund de Thorp and his wife Joan > 853005. A few years ago the tomb underwent a substantial and costly restoration to save and preserve it for future generations. The octagonal font > 853004 dates from the 16th century. The church underwent major internal work in the 1990s and is presently kept locked because of recent fire damage.

Beautiful old hotel in an excellent location for the city centre! We stayed in the Surlingham junior suite and the room was big and so full of character we absolutely loved it! The staff were so friendly and helpful and we would totally recommend staying here!
