I was extremely disappointed with our room location. The hotel placed our room in the worst possible location. It was advertised as a "courtyard view," but in reality, it was tucked away in the far back corner of the property, right next to what appeared to be a staff maintenance or maid’s shack. It felt like we were placed in a four-walled box with zero atmosphere or comfort.
The only window in the room looked directly at a blank wall—no natural light, no view, nothing remotely resembling a courtyard. When I brought the issue up and politely requested a room change, I was told no other rooms were available, despite the hotel not appearing fully booked. It felt like we were given the leftover room no one else wanted.
The location of the hotel itself was convenient, which is the only real positive I can mention. However, this does not compensate for the inaccurate description of the room and the lack of consideration for a legitimate concern. I paid for a "courtyard room," not a gloomy corner with a view of a wall and a utility shed. The description was deceptive and conveyed a sense of deceit. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.
