"This is an excellent hotel on an outstanding property. With a few tweaks, it would be a top shelf resort in Duoro Valley—highlights: reception—informative, gracious, helpful & delish welcome drinks, the food, an incredible chef, we loved the included breakfast with options to add on dishes, rooms—ours was very well equipped, comfortable with a private terrace and semi private pool (Amarela section) There are many options at different price points. The views are stunning!! We enjoyed the onsite winery tour and tasting and learned a lot about how ports are made. We would’ve explored the neighboring town, but we did not wish to leave the property! Dinners were lively & delish. Only downside—service was up & down. Some servers were excellent while others were indifferent Apart from this (easily addressable) issue, the place is utterly charming and serene!!!"

"The property was nice with wonderful spa options. However, the rooms seemed a bit dated and certainly didn’t feel like a five star surroundings. However, the staff and daily breakfast were wonderful!"

"You simply pay for the views at this hotel. There are no frills outside of that (which was fine for my stay) the rooms had AC which was great. The staff was nice but it seems they were understaffed and simple requests took longer than other hotels I stayed at in Portugal. The buffet breakfast was convenient as there aren’t many food choices in the area to go to. I would go back simply because of the views and the relaxing property!"

"This is an unbelievable place. We have stayed in lots of different places across the world but you would do well to find a more relaxing, beautiful and unique place. The breakfasts were lovely, overlooking the valley. We loved the pool area too. The accomodation itself was spacious and had everything you needed. A special shout out to the staff too who make this such a special place. Definitely make sure you order a picnic too! Thank you for a great stay"

"Beautiful bed & breakfast, up the hill from downtown Regua. Nice view looking down to the Douro River. The house is tastefully decorated. Breakfast was very good, lots to choose from. You really need a car if you stay here or have to call taxis. Even though they're just a mile from the train station the owner will not drop you off or pick you up."
