The property and the hotel and pool were awesome! Beautiful architecture, large pool surrounded by natural landscape. Our room was very spacious and very beautiful! Ricardo attended to our needs so graciously, we felt very welcome.

Perfect service, and an exceptional hotel!

Top notch service at a magical property. Stayed in the vineyard view room and it was phenomenal. All the staff are incredibly helpful, pleasant and went out of their way to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. The "lake" pool is incredible, and is perfectly complimented by their in-house wines which they will bring to you at the pool! Could not recommend the hotel enough!

Such a wonderful slice of heaven. Definitely visit this property. The staff were fantastic & so helpful. A bottle of sparkling wine at the pool was €18 and absolutely delicious. The breakfast omelette was delightful, the dinner was delicious. The pool was sensational, such a lovely place to be. Book it! We had a vineyard suite, the Manor House ones seemed further away.

This is a beautiful, peaceful property. We enjoyed the huge rooms, gorgeous dining room, and decent gym. The spa consisted of a small sauna and steam room (which we could not open, and there was no one working there to open it). But it was very difficult to find, as the Expedia address took us to a house 15 minutes away. We had to put the name of the hotel into Google to find it, but there was no sign at the front of the property, which just looks like a house from the road, so it was all very confusing.

Staff is the best

Nice place. Great people working here. I was surprised by the name of the resort and the lack of wellness. Please change name or have a wellness plan in place with healthy foods, facilities that cater to wellness…yoga,fitness classes,etc

Just getting there is the problem

The major problem is NO signage- extremely difficult to find. No telephone due to a wrong number! Almost gave up to find another option. Even GPS had it wrong. But once there it is lovely- wonderful service, beautiful surroundings!

Magnifique mais le diable se cache ds les détails

Superbe hôtel, avec des chambres incroyables en pleine nature. Immense piscine (mais coin transat assez mal agencé) Personnel charmant. En revanche, pour un hôtel à ce prix, il manquait les petits détails qui font la différence : staff pas très proactif, 2eme piscine non disponible, nourriture au restaurant pas fou (évitez la viande rouge), des plats qui manquent à la cartes (toutes les grillades sauf une pas bonne), personnel du restaurant un peu dépassé par 4 tables à servir.

L’accueil etait tres bien et notre chambre, la casa de Rio, était très grande et contemporaine. Sa localisation près d’un ruisseau avec une grande terrasse et un foyer exterieur est très bien. Il y avait une petite odeur de renfermé à notre arrivée. La piscine extérieure est magnifique, mais elle avait besoin d’un bon nettoyage lors de notre arrivée. Le restaurant était très bon (souper petit dejeuné).

Muito bom mas com alguns pontos à desejar.

O hotel é lindo, super novo, com muito potencial. É necessário agendar com antecedência para almoçar e jantar, o serviço de SPA não estava disponível por falta de atendentes o que nos frustrou um pouco. Percebemos que os rótulos dos sabonetes, cremes e xampus estavam todos em francês, o que dificultou o entendimento da aplicação de cada um. O carro que nos leva da recepção até os quartos não é seguro, quase caímos ao subir o morro e não houve nenhum aviso do perigo. Houve atraso de duas horas para o check in que foi compensado com 30% de desconto no valor do jantar do hotel. Em resumo, o hotel é novo e dá para perceber que estão passando por uma adaptação até deixar tudo certo, tem muito potencial para ser excelente.

Apesar de ter todas as condições para ser um espaço de excelência, vimo-nos obrigados a reduzir a estadia planeada a uma única noite. O facto do SPA não se encontrar em funcionamento ao contrário do anunciado no site terá contribuido para a nossa decisão mas não foi decisivo. Decisivo foi o facto de que apesar do número reduzido de quartos, o hotel não ser capaz de providenciar equipamento de apoio para as piscinas em número suficiente para todos os hóspedes, nomeadamente espreguiçadeiras e chapéus de sol. A somar, uma das piscinas (a anunciada semi-olimpica) não estava a ser limpa e mantida parecendo completamente abandonada e ausente de qualquer equipamento de apoio (cadeiras, espreguiçadeiras, chapéus,... nada). Nada a dizer em relação ao staff que foi sempre extremamente educado e prestável na medida que lhes era possível.

Séjour de rêve au milieu des vignes

Un lieu absolument remarquable au milieu des vignes du Douro. On se croirait revenu en 1871 mais avec tout le confort moderne. Superbe accueil. Petit déjeuner délicieux. Immense piscine très agréable. Vraiment un séjour de rêve si on accepte juste d’être un peu loin du Douro dans les collines qui le surplombent.
