"The Quinta Amala was an amazing place. The location with the view over the landscape with rice fields and pine woods was beautiful. Each cabana, house, had privacy and were souronded by beautiful plants and flowers. Beautiful architecture of the houses, the pool area, lounges and dining room. We felt close to nature, silent and relaxing. The food was also very good, including the breakfast with local food. "Beautiful and comfortable home. The listing was a little incomplete so it was unclear exactly what we were getting but pleasantly surprised. One very confusing experience is they never mentioned an actual couple lives on-site and are the hosts. They came by when we got there and were very kind and accommodating. It just would have been helpful to know they would be there. The listing said it was entirely self check-in. "

"The staff were wonderful and very welcoming throughout our stay. The property and room were beautiful, with thoughtful decor and lush landscaping. Pool service could use some improvement, as the staff seemed a bit unsure about the ordering process, but everyone was friendly and eager to help."

"Overall, the hotel was lovely. The room was clean and had everything we needed, although if you need an iron you need to request the whole laundry service. The staff were so helpful and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. It is in a quiet area near the river but hard to walk anywhere from it. Only a short drive to Alcacer do Sal. The pool needed cleaning along the bottom and there was a long trail of ants along the corridor until our final night. The breakfast was delicious, a selection of cooked food, pastries, fruit, cold meat and cereals although most days there were a couple of bits missing, not that this mattered too much. Dinner in the evening was superb. Everything cooked to perfection and staff were very attentive. I would be happy to stay here again but maybe better for short stays"
