Great stay for a few nights. The property and the rooms are a bit old looking but overall nice enough for what we needed. We had to ask several times for hand soap because there wasn't any in our room, but they got us some eventually. The hotel breakfast is amazing, so many options for a buffet. I was really impressed. The restaurant was very good too.

Secara keseluruhan lumayan, sayang air panasnya kurang terasa, dan pelayanannya kurang ramah, kurang sebanding dengan kualitas hotel bintang 4.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Being next to a shopping mall and bar/restaurant the location is very good.
However, when I walked in it smelt damp, looked damp and felt damp. Damp patches are evident on the walls where the wallpaper is discoloured/peeling and the paintwork is bubbling. This I’m sure has a lot to do with low occupancy levels during the recent pandemic. Having stayed in the Jatra many times previously, it is disappointing to see a marked deterioration in the fabric of the building. Significant investment is required to bring it back up to standard.
A final point, there is a choice of having a no smoking room; perhaps an area of the restaurant could be designated no smoking too. Arriving for breakfast newly showered and feeling fresh, I was then subjected to cigarette smoke from all directions. I left breakfast smelling like an ashtray.
they upgraded my room into deluxe room due to unavailable requested bed. so my room is bigger, but the air conditioner was terrible. it was very hot especially at night. i couldn't sleep well

Terrible internet, bad beds, good location
My god the beds are uncomfortable. THey are old hard mattresses and for a king bed you get 2 old flat pillows. The rooms are getting more and more tires and need new furnishing. Due to less occapancy they are currently mostly running on 1 elevator, which is a real pain , it can take 10 min to get down .
The internet is terrible, it is open so as soon as the mall opens everyone can use it and its so slow its stupid. Its unusable 23.5 hrs a day its so so slow.
Restaurant is still ok, considering the covid restrictions they do a good job, weirdly there is NO hand sanitizer available in the restaurant !
Sadly the pool bar is closed.
The main advantage of this hotel is its location straight next to the mall. An easy access to pubs and shops nearby.
The restaurant looks homy and live music was nice. The quality of the food wasn’t the best one

Hits and Misses
Size of the hotel room was large enough and comfortable for the standard rooms. Sheets were cleaned and floors in the room was mopped daily. However, there were a few cockroaches found in the public / common areas. Was also having a massage in the room when someone rang the doorbell twice. Was getting ready before walking to the door when the person opened the hotel room door but closed it immediately after realizing there were people in the room. This was not right for room service / housekeeping.

Not the best stay this time
I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. I had 4 showers during this stay, none of which had hot or very warm water. There was no bar soap provided for hand washing in my or my colleague’s room. At 4am I woke up smelling cigarette smoke. The hotel is however in a handy location.
Room was spaciousness, clean and has a beautify sea view. Great location and convenience since the hotel is located next to the shopping mall. Reception staff was quite friendly and helpful.

Quality is limited in Balikpapan without a doubt, but I am sure there are better hotels than this one. Room was very average, mattress was old, bathroom was not the cleanest, and they had forgotten to put towels and amenities in it. I would not recommend this hotel unless you have to.

Not a home away from home.
The service and facilities of the hotel are same as of No Star Hotel.
Again in the room there were no towels. Subsequently provided only bathing one. No hand towels despite asking twice.
No body wash and moisturiser is given to customers who book online.
Beds have springs hurting you through out the night. Half the time went in finding the right place to sleep.
Just because of location I prefer this hotel otherwise it is not worth the money we pay.

Not Good Hotel for Frequent Travellers
Supposed to be 4.5 star property but the facilities in Non Starred Hotels are better. When I checked in there were no towels in the Room, when demanded was told that they will be placed in the room in next 10 minutes. Went out and came back at 10.30 PM still there were no towels. had to fight the " inflexible" staff for the same and by 11.00 PM received the towels for room. After 2 days again the same happened towels were sent only after shouting at the staff.
The cooks standing at the Fresh Eggs counter dont even understand what a customer is demanding. All the food was so greasy that one may think twice before eating.
When I was checking out on 10th September, the front desk officer "Ayi" came and felt sorry for the trouble i had to face during my stay. Incidentally she was person on duty when I had 1st No Towel issue. She informed me that the General Manager of the Property would be calling me or sending a mail to apologise as I had already given bad reviews for the property .
Still Waiting for the mail/call.
