However, the room let the experience down — the bed sheet was old and had iron burn marks, and the shower was dirty and electric kettle not well maintained. Overall, a mixed stay with great service and food, but improvements are needed in room cleanliness."

"Had such a lovely stay - was upgraded to a beautiful suite . I have been very ill and only just able to travel again and they left me a beautiful hand written card along with Prosecco and a little teddy . They went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect stay . All the staff were so friendly and helpful . The champagne bar is lovely and the location is very central . "Room was nice and clean. Property seemed well maintained. Gym was a bit small could’ve used a few mats but worked just fine. Only negative was the laundry facilities………only one washer and dryer for all guests, and seems the hotel was using it too, so even more limited. (They were washing the pet cloths). Even with that we’d stay there again! Great staff and space!"

"The hotel is in a good, walkable location. Breakfast was good. The one thing I REALLY didn’t like is that there was no electric hot water kettle with complimentary instant coffee and tea available in the room. This is the only hotel we encountered during our entire stay in Scotland that did not have this available. They did have a machine in the lobby where you had to pay to get coffee or tea."
