I had high expectations for this property based on its reputation, modern facilities, and strong reviews highlighting cleanliness, location, and service. Unfortunately, my experience with their customer flexibility and guest support during real travel disruptions was extremely disappointing.

Due to circumstances completely outside of my control, my flight was canceled and rerouted because of airport fuel shortages, significantly delaying my arrival into Bangkok. I contacted the hotel immediately from the airport to request a simple adjustment to my arrival date.
Despite the situation being clearly legitimate and time-sensitive, the hotel showed no willingness to accommodate, adjust, or offer any flexibility. This was especially frustrating given that hospitality—particularly at a luxury property—should include a level of understanding for real-world travel disruptions.
It’s worth noting that the hotel’s own policies can be quite rigid, with non-refundable conditions applying in many cases, even for early changes or adjustments. However, policies should not completely override basic customer care and situational judgment.
Grande Centre Point Prestige
Because of this experience, I chose not to stay at the property and instead booked with Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit, where the overall experience and service level were significantly better and more aligned with what I expect from a premium hotel.
