As a returning guest who has stayed at the hotel several times, I have always considered it one of the top establishments in Bangkokโbeautifully located with exceptional service.
However, this visit did not quite meet the high standards I have experienced previously. I noticed a slight decline in overall service, food quality, and general cleanliness compared to past stays, although the hotel remains a five-star property.
I also wanted to highlight two service-related issues that felt unprofessional:
1. Deposit Procedure: Midway through our stay, I received a notification that another deposit was required. When I politely called to acknowledge the message that evening after returning to our room, I expected to be asked to come down to the lobby in the morning. Instead, someone arrived at our room after 9:00 PM with a credit card machine. This felt rushed and slightly unprofessional.
2. Checkout Process: During checkout, the agent handling our final bill appeared overly concerned about potential mini-bar or room service charges. She revised the bill multiple times and acted frustrated. In the past, any minor charges that appeared post-departure were simply processed and an updated receipt was emailed, which felt more appropriate for a five-star hotel. The pool area is starting to show its age and could benefit from refurbishment soon. While this hotel is still excellent, these small changes in service procedures made this particular stay less enjoyable.
