My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Su was very helpful and accommodating. It's a charming place, and very close to some great food options like Jay Fai, Thipsamai, and walking distance to Pad Thai Fai Ta Lu and a 7-Eleven. Very convenient place to stay while in Bangkok.

Good location cause it’s close to all the tourist must-see spots but the establishments nearby smell like weed. Hotel is also very very old, not many amenities. For the price, it’s fine.

This hotel is a true hidden gem! Situated within walking distance of everything you need in Bangkok. The staff are welcoming and always have a smile on their face when you come in and out. The room was clean and a great size, the hotel has a real charm about it that’s unlike other big hotels in Bangkok! For the price you won’t find any better. Can’t recommend enough, thanks for a brilliant stay!

Quiet room near Khao San Rd.

It is an older building. The hot water wasn’t at night, but was nice and hot in the morning. The lady at the front desk is very friendly and the location is perfect! It is also quiet when you want to end the night, which is really nice. The bathroom is quite small. I was happy that there was a very small balcony to hang our wet clothing after Songkran. I would stay here again but maybe opt for a more expensive room.

Best location

Nice place to stay, they have the ideal location to visit Bangkok. 10 minutes walk to Khao San, bus stop for many route 3 minutes walk, lots of restaurant etc. But it’s really quiet so you can have a good sleep. We arrived very late and there was someone waiting for us. The only thing is cleaning staff are noisy in the morning in the hallway and the shower flood the entire bathroom. But overall we enjoyed our stay and we would stay there again without hesitation.

The place was a hidden sanctuary right in the middle of everything you want to see in the City. Su was very helpful in giving directions and options of what to do, even down to the day of the week. She made sure I didn’t miss the weekend market since I arrived on a Sunday and showed me how to do a self guided walking tour of the temples. I recommend taking tuk tuks even tho things are close, it’s cheaper and easier especially when it’s really hot. I highly recommend eating at the Family which is nearby and also a hidden gem! Everything was great I’ll stay there again on my way back out of Thailand at the end of this trip.

I stayed here for 4 nights. To start I can’t complain - for the price of four nights it was a deal. The room was a little dated. Bathroom was small. There was a safe - but no directions how to use it (I wasn’t going to use it anyway). For location - it’s great. Khoa San Rd is walking distance. Very safe area. The road it’s on may seem a little sketchy but it’s very safe. The hotel entrance is what sold me - the greenery and the atmosphere was great! Would definitely recommend.

It's a very basic property in need of some updating. Some complaints: Only one towel and it was pretty old and had holes in it. Noisy hallway. No way to secure the door from inside the room. Somewhat isolated from central Rattanakosin Island by the large boulevard in front of the property. It is possible to cross the boulevard with a crosswalk. The owner was very nice and helpful regarding where to go and where to eat!

A beautiful garden hotel tucked away off Democracy Monument Circle . Great location in the heart of Bangkok. Coolest of neighbors , restaurants, shops, and the Brown Sugar Jazz Club. Full breakfast cooked to order. Best is your hostess Sourire who will expertly navigate you through the in and out of Bangkok. In other words I highly recommend this hotel with reservation. 😎😎😎

Schlechte Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Zimmer sind sehr alt und abgewohnt und müssen dringend saniert werden. Kein Fön, etc, vorhanden. Außerdem sehr hellhörig - ohne Ohrstöpsel kann man nicht schlafen. Die Lage ist allerdings sehr gut, das Personal sehr freundlich und das Frühstück auch gut.

Great location by democracy monument. Room was basic, but spacious with large comfortable bed. Bathroom was small but shower was good. Air conditioning well placed in the room. Staff were very friendly and happy to help, and breakfast served daily with fruit, toast and a choice of eggs and bacon. Absolutely no issues on my stay, and would definately recommend if visiting bangkok for nearby attractions like the grand palace.

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt für wen dort nur übernachtet und frühstückt. Super gute Lage und deswegen Preis/Leistung sehr gut. Da sie nicht direkt am hauptstrasse sich befindet, auch sehr ruhig. Personnel sehr professionnel und hilfsbereit. Grosse Auswahl für Essen, trinken, nachtsspaß in der direkte Nähe; Mehrere Sehenswürdigkeiten nah auch zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Great little hotel in old Bangkok

This was my second time staying at the Sourire. I had a couple of days in Bangkok before returning to Canada and wanted to visit the Grand Palace and a few other historic sights all within walking distance. Khaosan Road is only a few minutes away as well. The Sourire is small, even cozy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was not opulent but more than enough for a short stay. I was too lazy to get up in time to take advantage of the free breakfast and my only wish would be for a kettle or coffee maker in the room. I arranged with the desk for a taxi to Suvarnibhum Airport for my early flight (600B) which got me there in good time. I’ll stay at the Sourire again.

Zentrale Lage, Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar, freundlicher Service, preiswert. Außenbereich mit Pflanzen und Sitzgelegenheiten. Älteres Hotel, kleine Zimmer, tagsüber Lärm durch Bauarbeiten im Nachbarkomplex.
