"If you're looking for a place to stay right after arriving in Salvador, this is a great place! I landed around 2:30am, and I was still able to check in. The room was small but clean. The air conditioning worked, and the place was quiet! However, the bathroom really could use a deep cleaning. The location to anything but the airport was a little rough. They did store my bag too, which was awesome! So, for my needs and purposes, it was great! But I wouldn't stay here for longer periods. "

"The most amazing thing about The Wish Hotel Bahia is the staff. We checked in with two reservations—a single night via Expedia and a week with our timeshare. In an attempt to honor our request for an upgrade from a standard room, Rafael appointed a bellman to show us several options. The day after our arrival was Easter Sunday and much of the city was closed for the holiday. Henrique’s—who was an absolute delight for our entire stay—searched the internet for museums and other venues that could occupy our day. He recommended restaurants, gave us walking directions, advised us on how to stay safe, and checked on the status of our time in Salvador everyday that he was on duty. As first-time visitors to Salvador, these interactions were invaluable to us. There are two restaurants—the one closest to the bar leaves much to be desired. We didn’t try the other, but it has great reviews. The bed was very comfortable, and our three issues with the room concerned the military school that performed drills sometimes as early as 6:45am., the shower—which was a nice size, had a shower head that only pointed toward the floor and water pooled nearly an inch deep in the back of it that had to be swept toward the drain. "

"The room was clean and very well keep. The staff were all very kind and always willing to facilitate you even with a language barrier. The breakfast has a great selection of Brazilian dishes. My only set back was the bar didn’t have much local beers I expected to find but the cocktails were great "

"Perfect location. Wayyyyy overpriced for Carnivale, but it is, what it is. The sheets were clean, and the pool area has a good vibe. It’s usually a very cheap hotel, and for its usual $50 per night charge, you would accept it. However, for the $600 during carnival however, it’s a hard pill to swallow. "

"There was little to no cleaning of the room from staff, the power went out with no way for us to get into our room and the night staff member didnt have our keycard eventhough we left it with the day staff. Eventhough he did a good job managing things, he was on his own dealing with the majority. The food was okay and when the power did come back we did get to use the service lift. Our bathroom had mould in ir and the shower head had a lot of limescale and dirt."

"Staff were really friendly, but the hotel is definitely in need of extensive repairs. Location is great"
