"Beautiful property and had an amazing visit. Pity the property doesn’t have Aircon in the rooms. With the current heatwave it made it very hot inside the building . I understand it’s because it’s an old historical building and there are restrictions."

"Friendly staff at check in. Given a piece of paper per room for times of pool etc … does this change frequently? not very environmentally friendly to print it out each time for each room. Went to use pool and sauna etc to hear one of the staff moaning that a child had poo’ed in the children’s pool and it was now out of action and on top of that the steam room had packed up and no staff. "Breakfast time was not very organised, perhaps this was because there was only one member of staff visible. The buffet was very poor. As guests we had to ask for hot food. There were no croissants or bread (which arrived frozen) and very little fresh fruit. Not what we expected for a 4 star hotel."

"We loved the older Country Club charm. It was beautiful to look out at the water from our room and walk to the castle ruins. The dining is charming as well! Great spot for quietness. We will come back!"
