"What started off as a continuation of a great trip to Louisville quickly devolved when we checked into The Galt. Immediately, there was no where to pull in and check-in, so we had to park and come upstairs to the lobby. When we got checked in they put us in the tower across the street, but would only give us parking for the east tower. Every time we had to go to our car, we had to go up one floor, change elevators to go up to 3, go across the atrium to our building and into another elevator that went to our floor. When you're lugging around bourbon and luggage, this becomes a huge problem. Upon checking in, we loved our room and view, until I made the decision to shower. The shower was broken and there wasn't enough water pressure to rinse your hair out. It took 4 ignored maintenance requests for them to finally send somebody out... at 10pm. We had to leave our room at 10pm for an hour to get the part fixed, when our first communication started at 9am that morning. There was no apology until I texted again the final day when they asked about our stay and they comped my parking. While parking was awful too, my issue was with the basic amenity of a shower, not the price of parking. I came to scout out hotels for a long term business solution, and I definitely left with an answer of which one I won't return to, and not because there was an issue, but because of the response during and after."

"My stay was 3 nights. My room did not get cleaned. The 2nd day I saw the cleaning staff in the hall in the afternoon and asked if they could clean my room. The next day, no one cleaned my room. I called front desk around 6pm to ask. They said they normally clean every morning. It never happened to my room. They didn't even offer to send someone over then to clean it. Very disappointed with the cleaning service!"

"It was a terrible stay, upon arrival the front desk clerk was extremely rude, no help at all. I was traveling alone with my two small children ages 6 and 5, he watched as I carried a large bag too small other bags as well as holding my children's hands to the elevator push the button stand and wait for a good 10 minutes before he walked out and all he said was that's broke use the stairs.. we get to the second floor the smell of marijuana was so strong it would take your breath and my 6-year-old child has chronic lung disease. The door keys did not work properly there's stains all over the carpet thick black stains, we finally get into the room there is potato chips shoved inside of the vent in the air conditioner there was hair all in the bathtub the bathtub was dirty soap scum and yellow rings and what looked like pubic hair in the tub there was makeup and fingernail polish all over the counter of the sink, mold around the openings of the Jets to the tub, the mattress was lopsided and felt like there was a metal bar running down the center of it. It was a terrible experience however we did finish saying the one night we had booked due to the fact that we had drove 4 hours to be in Mobile for my son's surgery early the next morning. I will never stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend that no one else does either. Absolutely disgusting. The continental breakfast was non-existent there was no coffee in the morning not even dry cereal."

"A lovely place to stay in Louisville. Ideal location if coming for themShakespeare festival in nearby Central Park or a morning stroll at Saint James Court. Parking was not a problem. The house is beautifully furnished but the small rooms are not well suited for reading or meeting people. My bedroom was simple but comfortable. The kitchen is convenient. The breakfasts are delicious fruit starters and one main which changes every day. Drip coffee and OJ. Overall, an excellent choice if looking for a Victorian mansion B&B."
