"We were pretty disappointed with the service at the Bistro. It took far too long to get our breakfast, the kitchen seemed unable to meet the requests of the guests in an efficient manner & were running out of key ingredients. We asked for brown bread which they were out of, then it was sausage & bacon, then they couldn't find the decaf coffee, they were out of fruit, etc., etc. The key pads to the room would work one minute then not the next minute."

"A character home with very no actual character beyond the first impression when entering the main doors. We stayed in the Bell Island Suite, which in no way felt like a suite. It felt more like a dated cottage or camp cabin. The room was tired and poorly maintained, with no consistent style or attention to detail. Issues included missing drawer knobs, mismatched hardware, peeling paint on the shower ceiling, cracked bathroom floor tiles, poor ventilation causing slippery floors, worn furniture,...

"Older building , renovated rooms in central part of downtown Sr John’s. Our room had a view of Signal Hill across the harbour. Walking distance to all of downtown. Reasonably quiet for being right downtown. Great location if are okay with a flight of stairs and if you don’t have a car to park. (There is parking nearby) Staff were excellent. Very friendly, but that’s Newfoundland everywhere you go. They let us check in early. Thank you far a great 2 night stay."
