"There was clearly some sort of kid party happening at the pool. There were at least 100 kids in the tiny pool, easily over max capacity. The water was murky and it was so loud that if you wanted to say something to the person next to you, you’d have to yell for them to be able to hear you. I’m not overly sensitive to noise but I’m pretty sure the few moments I spent in the pool area caused hearing loss. I’ve been to rock concerts that were quieter. And the hotel staff just let it happen. I had to ask to have the room cleaned again once we got checked in because it was dusty The front desk staff seemed very unprofessional, maybe I just caught her on a bad day but I smiled, was kind and pleasant and she was extremely rude. And I was just checking in! I wasn’t complaining or asking for anything. Then the parking situation, well that was a joke. They have about 50 spots in their garage which of course were full so we had to park in a neighboring garage and pay their prices and walk all the way over. Walnut Creek is a nice area, there is no reason for this hotel to be so trashy. And it’s literally trashy! When we checked in there were people (guests?) eating out front and the next day when we checked out their food and drink containers were still sitting in the ground and in the bushes. No one bothered to throw them away. It was flat out gross. "

"Had almost no bud bugs. Was relatively quiet depending on where you go. The peloton is broken and the Wi-Fi is pretty mediocre and overly complex for what it’s worth but the pillows were comfortable and you should sleep well if there’s no shootings nearby."

"I would normally have given this hotel five stars. We have stayed here before, and while it is not luxury, it is clean, the beds are comfortable, and it is well set up. I took away one star because on the last night, our television would not work. When I finally found a staff member, he was uncomfortable responding, and finally said that he understood the management had not paid the bill for the DirectTV service. I have never heard of that happening in many years of travel. So, while all other aspects of the stay were fine, that was not acceptable."

"As someone who prioritizes cleanliness this is a great match, the area surrounding the hotel is not very family friendly which is not a fault of the hotel, which brought some not top tier guests. However the room itself was spotless, bathroom is old but clean, everything else was great. Not a spot on the sheets or pillows. Towels were fluffy and clean. Bed comfortable. Breakfast has great waffles, there weren’t any protien options but fruit, yogurt, juice and cereal were great. Biggest concern was Wifi was touch and go, plus the service in the area was bad, couldn’t work from the hotel, but basic wifi was okay. Would probably return if returning to the area."
