Top Bedford Hotel Reviews

Clayton Hotel Cambridge
8/10 Good
"Really nice rooms, quiet and spacious. Will definitely use the property again. Check in could be a little quicker"

ibis Cambridge Central Station
10/10 Excellent
"Dry close to trains. Places to eat are nearby. Rooms were quiet"

Turing Locke Cambridge
2/10 Terrible
"I stayed at Turing Locke Cambridge from 22–25 April 2026, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing—especially as this stay coincided with my birthday.
On arrival, we were given a room that was clearly not fit for use. The bathroom had a strong sewage smell and the sink would not drain, making it feel unsanitary and uncomfortable. We reported this straight away but were told other guests were having the same issue, so no alternative room was available that night. As a result, we had to spend our first night in substandard conditions.
Although a staff member was helpful and tried to assist, we were only moved to a different room the following day after having to repeatedly push for it. This significantly affected our stay.
What made things worse was the lack of support afterwards. When I raised a complaint with Turing Locke, there was no compensation offered, and the response I received was clearly a mix of copy-and-paste sections that failed to properly address my claim. It even referenced a complaint about a fire alarm—something I never mentioned at any point—which made it obvious my case hadn’t been genuinely reviewed or considered.
Overall, I would advise others to be cautious. While the property may appear appealing, this experience suggests that when things go wrong, they are not handled to an acceptable standard."

Hotel La Tour
6/10 Okay
"Had a great view. The breakfast was decent as well."

Thistle Express London Luton
6/10 Okay
"My room was clean and comfortable. Air con not working which shouldnt be an issue this time of year as having an open window would be fine. However, this is an issue due to the 10000 decibel music with a baseline that goes through you - from outside - for hours. Usually id be a "cant beat em, join them" type but i was a lone female who found the groups of young men congregating and smoking, intimidating.
Fellow guests were also inconsiderate - constant door banging.
Thankfully i was only here for a (very looong sleepless) night to catch an early flight.
Security and reception both very friendly and helpful.
Never again - hotel is ok, area - not so much."

Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa
6/10 Okay
"Beautiful building, but inside the hotel rooms could do with bringing it up to our century.
The tv is so far away from the bed, you can order room service , by using the QR code, but once you’ve checked the menu out, you then have to ring a telephone number to place your order, there is also a charge of £5 per tray .
Breakfast plenty to choose from, but the hot food was not hot it was cold
Wouldn’t stay there again ."
