Very welcoming people. I had no idea that you could purchase tickets to the wall with them. They also take us to the entrance and pick us after. Very convenient.

Our stay at Mutianyu Great Wall Wangshanyuan Homestay was one of the highlights of our trip. The family who runs the homestay is incredibly friendly and welcoming — they truly treat you like family. The food was fantastic, especially the homemade dumplings and snacks, which were some of the best we had in China. They were also very helpful in planning our trip, offering great itinerary recommendations to make sure we made the most of our visit. They even arranged transportation to the Forbidden City and our airport transfer at a very reasonable price, and the car was very comfortable. The location is amazing — right next to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Our room even had Great Wall stones built into the walls, which made the experience feel even more unique and memorable. Highly recommend staying here if you want a warm, authentic experience near the Great Wall.

Traveling in april 2026.Everything was perfect! Very nice people! From the pickup at the airport with a very new nice car, no problem at check in, room was ready , clean, very big, clean bathroom..hot water, clean towels,sunny room,parking available free if needed..breakfast and lunch included with chinese traditional home made food, tea, coffe, made by a nice lady whom we called "our grandma".. We booked tours with the person in charge... And he buyed the tickets for us in advance, to see Mutianyu Great Wall of China section...(at only 5min in car) and the Jinshanling Great Wall of China...(about 2hours drive) and the Water Town of Beijing (about 2 hours drive),(near the Great wall of Simatai) and we saw also the Forbidden city ...all with private transfer in a very nice car... Very nice people..we was like part of the family... We enjoyed our stay here at Mutianyu GreatWall Wangshanyuan Homestay We recomend! If to go visit again The Wall of China...for sure we will go back here...! Thank you Mutianyu GreatWall Wangshanyuan Homestay FAMILY!

I enjoyed my stay and recommend staying there. I decided to stay after taking the bus from Beijing to see the Great Wall on a tour. The next day - I could explore the wall and the small town on my own. The accommodation was nice and the family that runs the hotel/homestay was really friendly. I am a vegetarian and enjoyed generous portions of good food while I was there. I also organized a taxi back to Beijing after my two night stay with the owner. His father drove me to the train station in a really nice electric car - so 'taxi' doesn't really describe the high quality of the car and very pleasant drive. I recommend staying here.

Von Anfang an wurden überaus freundlich behandelt.Von hier aus grüßen wir die nette Familie,die alle für uns im Einsatz war.Mit der Abholung am Flughafen begann dies, weiter mit der Besorgung der Eintrittskarten, Frühstück,Abendessen usw.Wunderbar!

This is a family owned hotel. They literally take care of everything. Laundry, Taxi, Beverages and the food they provide in house for every breakfast and dinner is made fresh in their kitchen and it’s amazing. I absolutely loved staying here! Ask to go on the rooftop deck for a mountain village view.

Arrived a little early and we're greeted by the family. We dropped our bags off and had a quick freshen up before the owner drove us up the hill to The Wall carpark. He offered to pick us up but a local brought us back in the back of his little truck. That evening we had a lovely meal, all freshly prepared for us before retiring for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was simple and nice - eggs and corn bread. The family are really lovely people and so helpful, the father took us back to Beijing and our next hotel in a very comfortable BMW.

One of the most heartwarming moments of my entire trip to China happened at this place. The owners of the hotel treated me with so much kindness and care — they are a truly wonderful family. This homestay was so amazing!! The host messaged me right after booking and assisted us in transportation to/from the airport, as well as tickets and transportation to the Great Wall for an extremely reasonable price. The couple was so sweet, made us feel extremely welcome in their beautiful home, and even cooked us a delicious dinner and breakfast. We only stayed one night, but wished we stayed longer. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit the Great Wall!!

因為班機延誤到了民宿已經晚上九點多了老闆還貼心的為我們準備晚餐，很貼心。 隔天老闆還開車送我們到慕田峪長城入口，也幫我們打理了所有的票卷問題，省去了不少等待。 走完長城的時候，他還來接我們回飯店拿行李，然後又載我們到公交車站，真的很貼心。

A great night’s stay

This is a family-friendly establishment. We were taken care of as though we were part of the owner’s family. Our kids played together, they dropped off and picked us up at mutianyu Great Wall and even provided complimentary dinner and breakfast. Definitely a highlight of our Beijing trip. The kids fell in love with the baby kittens they had. Super cute. Home-cooked food was excellent as well. Highly recommend this place.
