"I have to say I waa really surprised at how nice this place was. The only issue for me (being a bigger bloke) was i couldn't fit in the shower as it only has a s.mall opening but I was able to get around ."

"The hotel is very dated. The room we were in was small, which wasn’t a problem, apart from it was stuffed full of 90’s furniture - we were literally tripping over it and each other. "Abrupt and mildly condescending check in, poorly maintained facilities, outdated rooms, filthy looking carpets. For somewhere this pretentious, they could really do with the quality to match the price."

"Stayed in ensuite quadruple room (2nd floor), surprised to find small kitchenette with sink fridge kettle and microwave - tea coffee sugar and milk provided - 4 mugs but no other crockery. Large room with table and 3 chairs, beds were fairly comfortable but duvets were very thin. Window a bit draughty as it didnt close properly, this also made it a bit noisy in the room in the morning. "Very dated and tired furnishings. Strange skylight in the bathroom which was full of cobwebs and dead moths. One of the drawers still had the previous occupant's belongings in. Lock on the bedroom door was very loose and temperamental. Staff seemed friendly. Hotel location was very convenient and we had a good night's sleep."

"pub is now closed but rooms still availble, you would need to go to another pub which is a 2 mins drive or 20 min walk for dinner. Lovely owner, very friendly."

"Unfortunately not my best visit here - visited several Times - checked in quite late - went straight to my room for a bath - no hot water ! - then headed down stairs for a bit to eat - had the same as my previous visit ( chicken bourguignon which was great last time) - unfortunately this time it was reheated microwaved mush - so headed to bed , unfortunately for me I was woken up by rocking headboards at 1.30 ( my neighbour was obviously having a better night than me ) thin walls between rooms...
