We booked here as we could have our dog stay with us and it was a convenient half way stop from near Inverness to Coventry. The room was fabulous and bed really comfortable, however, it was very noisy because of the A1 and the traffic namely Lorries which kept us awake all night. Otherwise it was ok

Lovely friendly comfortable hotel, very convenient for travel to Scotland (where we were headed) and a visit to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Staff were super friendly and helpful, food good and rooms clean and comfortable

Overnight for Pilgrims walk

Perfect location for Holy Island trip. Good room and decent sized bed. Friendly staff and a great breakfast. Really great value.

Great access to holy island.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Comfy bed, spacious room, great shower. Food choice was good. Downside the amount of curry my wife had could of been more plentiful. My teriyaki fish needed more seasoning, I don't usually add salt or pepper to meals but in this case had to. Saying that my 2 friends steak and linguine was apparently lovely. The full English was exceptionally good and plentiful

The staff were excellent, from the first impression to the last. They all were friendly, very professional and we were put at ease straight away. The rooms were clean,comfortable and spacious. We did have a meal and the food was nice but i have had better. I must say it was all value for money and would stay there again.

Upon first arriving, I was concerned that the Inn is located 10 miles from Berwick on a two lane highway. We then discovered that public transit runs just outside the door - taking us easily to Berwick and Holy Island. There are some nice country roads for walking. The old Inn building with restaurant and pub are charming, food is good, staff are excellent, the rooms are in a separate building - small but clean with updated bathrooms. All in all - we had a good experience here.

An A1 Inn 😁

A very warm welcome from the staff. Food cooked fresh and excellent but you best book a table for your evening meal, breakfast plentiful. Rooms very clean, bed very comfortable. Hotel is perfectly located between Holy island, Berwick-upon-Tweed and Bamburgh . walkers with dogs & cyclists are welcome too. There is secure storage for cycles . A big thank you to Zoe & Donna and all the staff for making us feel very welcome .

For the price we paid it was the worst value for money hotel you could imagine. Like paying £50 for an ordinary greasy hamburger. Worth £60 a night NOT double plus

From the min we arrived staff were helpful & polite, our room was spotless, bed was amazingly comfortable (best sleep i.v had in a while), room temp was lovely & warm & easily adjusted, food was delicious & good value.
