Cabin in the Woods was an excellent and beautiful property. I will definitely be booking again! Thank you.
To be fair, I give this place a 2-star for one particular reason. If we were a family of 3 or 4 person, this stay would have been great, I would have given it a 5-star. But I searched for a place which can host 7ppl, Expedia matched us to this house and the welcome letter from this place clearly stated that it can host 7.
And that was a major lie.
When we got to the house and start exploring, we were shocked. There's only ONE (yes, 1) formal bedroom. 1 queen size bed, can comfortably host 2.
Then there's a sofa bed in the basement next to the garage. It is bigger than a normal sofa bed but sleeping 2? Barely ok for 2 small kids.
Then there's a bunker bed in the upper floor (pretty much an attic). Kids like the bunker but we didn't realize the problem until it's time to go to bed - it's a completely open attic with no curtain of any kind.Imagine to go to sleep up there in Alaska summer when sun doesn't set until probably 11pm.
Then there's a sofa in the living room which can be converted to a small bed. Again whoever sleep there has to deal with bright sunlight until 10pm.
So this is how they count up to 7ppl. If they have disclosed the detailed conditions of these "beds", I would never rent this place.
So I brought it up to Expedia immediately. The first rep told me in their system, this place can host only up to 4 person (and I would totally agree!!). Expedia then changed their story saying it could actually fit 7. How convenient.
