IF THIS HOTEL IS AT THE LOCATION MAPS BRINGS YOU TO IT IS LITERALLY IN AN ALLY WITH HOMELESS PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. i drove in circles looking for the property - which could not find - it brought me to another motel which i asked if they knew where this property was and they said they did not know what hotel i was talking about. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE TO GET OUT OF MY CAR AND START WALKING AROUND LOOKING FOR THIS PROPERTY. i never checked in and they will not refund me. DO NOT BOOK HERE! "

"My wife and I were on a staycation to celebrate her birthday. The staff at the Hotel Current helped make our stay more than we expected. They all are so friendly and professional and were service-oriented to and Beyond the call! Hotel Current is not only affordable but the location is so perfect that it's got to be one of long beaches best kept secrets! The rooms are spacious, clean, and the bed is so so comfortable! I will stay there again and recommend all my friends!"

"Staff was ok. There is NO POOL as mentioned and shown in pictures. Very old and worn down dirty. Breakfast was toast, cereal, croissants and terrible coffee no hot water for tea. No refrigerator or microwave in the rooms no hairdryer in the room."

"We got to the hotel after dark and it was NOT at all what we had expected. The room that we were put in was at an end located on the bottom floor behind a restaurant or some other business establishment. Their back door was open lots of boxes around. Parked Cars with motors running and our door hidden behind a large hedge bush. For me and my Mom to get to our room we walked across the parking and felt nervous and cautious. Once in our room, the room was not very clean. It was old and run down which was fine, but the corners and floors weren't clean as well as the bathroom floors and corners. The door didn't seem very secure but I tested it and it was. We almost left, but it was just for one night and it was already late, so we stayed. The bed was actually comfortable. The next morning, when we left to get breakfast and it was bright outside, we realized that it actually wasn't that bad. I think that if we had been in a better location more central and not at an end behind that business and hedge where we felt more comfortable it would have been a lot better. The staff were very kind, breakfast was good. I don't want to say it was horrible, I just had higher expectations of a cleaner, safer feeling traveling as two women. I tried to be careful booking and thought this was a safe choice. Would I stay here again? Probably not, I would spend the extra money to stay somewhere where I knew for sure it would be clean and I would feel safe."
