"The restaurant was closed. Ni one answered the phone. Curtains didn’t fully shut. No soap. Cold shower in morning. No one manning breakfast. Had to knock on staff door to get tea. Guy hadn’t a clue even put the milk in the teapot. Continental breakfast just had a few children’s type cereal toast bowl of fruit yogurt. No milk out to have on cereal. Had to chase that up. One guest had slug in bedroom. Another bought their own bits in to have with breakfast"

"A small privately owned hotel, good situation for a visit to Saltaire. Many people arrived by train which was a short walk away. The owner was very helpful, even writing us a map to Saltaire."

"Very nice and helpful staff. A parking garage and some shops and restaurants were in immediate vicinity. The hotel is 20-25mins walking distance from Halifax train station, be advised though that the entire walk is uphill since the station is the lowest point of the city. The city itself is very accessible from the hotel with most shops and locations just a few minutes away. Very decently sized rooms with room for your luggage without feeling cramped in."

"We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. It’s not the cheapest hotel, and not the most fancy...

"Very poor experience, you walk in and you have to fill out crap on the touch pad and then walk over to the car park paying machine, check in should be quick, 2 minutes, all the faffing around takes 10 minutes. The extra £4 parking is a complete scam ....... If you use the gym is £28 per month with free parking every night. You pay £95 per room and you pay £4 parking -SCAM .... SCAM Never again, I have stayed several times but no more."

"Hot tub was perfect, very relaxing. Rooms were clean and spacious and modern. Host was very helpful. "

"Room basic but clean. Facilities are slightly tired but adequate. The only slight complaint was that the shower was not much more than a dribble but the water was warm. Staff helpful and friendly. Note: Hebden Bridge is hilly and the hostel is up the hill from the town centre. It is not that far and should not put you off using the hostel"
