"The single staff member at the desk for check in was very sweet and friendly. Unfortunately, the room we were placed in was in the detached building that smelled awful and the halls were very dirty. "This hotel used to be a Red Roof Inn and is going through renovations, so it currently has a lot of construction. We were here for the George Strait concert, so I didn't mind the elevated price. I don't know how much an overnight stay usually costs.
It is an older hotel, but it was clean and adequate for our needs."

"This hotel is fine for a day or two, but the cracks really start to show if you're there for a while. It's relatively well protected from road noise, but the walls are thin enough that you'll hear normal conversations in neighboring rooms. Doors slam easily. A lot of doors in shared spaces get stuck frequently, including stairwell and side entrances/exits.
I don't know what the housekeeping situation is supposed to be, but during my week-long stay, housekeeping came by on the second and third...

"Stayed on first floor. Second floor guest might as well be in the room with you, as even light steps echoed through the room. Bathroom fan either didn’t work or wasn’t even present, was like a sauna after a short shower. The smoke alarm has an obnoxiously bright light that flashes randomly.
