"this is a scam. i booked online and went to the location on google maps. where was no hotel. they were using a photo of some home stay up the road. the home stay had no idea what i was talking about and had never heard of this hotel. i ended up losing my money and never even got to stay at this hotel because it didn’t exist "

"We liked our stay at Smaranala as a stopover to our next stay. The room was nice and the pool excellent. The atmosphere is difficult to understand as it seems to be directed at long-term residents and the expat community. It is located in a strange residential place, not really close to any shops or food opportunities (you´ll find them after a lot of walking in unlit roads). Unfortunately the breakfast was not included, which is always disappointing."
