"It was only a brief stopover before a river cruise so didn't expect much and I guess it met expectations. Area around the hotel was a little dirty and there wasn't much to walk to. Hotel room was basic (fine) and the sheets and floor were clean. Bathroom wasn't as clean. Had a TV but it came with a 2 prong plug ??? Which makes no sense when its a 3 prong country! Breakfast very limited for western palate - no fruit or breaded things apart from toast. Overall as expected - not sure it's 3 star...

"There are improvements being carried out, which will make a difference in the future. We were unable to get the advertised wifi at all, despite the router being reset many times. This was annoying. On four occasions we had random people enter our room without knocking, which was not okay. Once guy even got cross with us and said we should have locked the door. "We stayed at an alternate property because the advertised one wasn’t ready. However, the owner notified us well in advance. The condo was quiet and the air conditioning worked. We only had 2 towels for 4 people. For the price paid it was a good value and not too far from the airport. Good as a jumping off point for our tour"

"the room was dirty, couldn't see out of the windows for dirt and the surfaces were covered in dust. Panels were falling off the lift and the carpets were badly worn. It looked like the place was in the midst of a large restoration so things might improve. It's in a good location close to the waterfront and there is a very good restaurant on the top floor. Staff were very helpful. Might be worth looking at in six months time but certainly not at the moment"
