"Hotel had all the essentials, including a breakfast bar. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Staff were friendly. Room design was spacious. Would say it was a good value for the price. Property was clean for the most part, aside from the restroom, which was very cramped. The shower in our room had a weird design, where there wasn’t a full barrier nor way to adjust the shower head to keep it from spraying water on the wall and floor outside the shower."

"Upon checking in, we found the hotel undergoing a co.plete renovation. Most of the main lobby closed off and the bar moved to the restaurant. The elevators were also being renovated and taken out of service 1 or 2 at a time out of the 3. I would have expected Expedia to have some type of construction notice when booking. I always stay at the Southbank when in Jacksonville, but this had to be the most disappointing visit EVER!!! Call the hotel beforehand to confirm status of renovation to avoid...

"Great stay here! Had a little inconvenience when checking in where my reservation was not found. They were not able to help me at the property since I booked through Expedia but after a quick call to Expedia they were able to sort things out. A gentleman at the property was extremely helpful! "Pros…very clean, well-maintained, tiki bar at the pool was nice, comfortable bed.
Cons…basically zero water pressure in the shower (to the point of a trickle at times), room walls seem thin, could hear a lot outside the room. Kids hanging out in the halls, no supervision."

"This was our first time here, location is very conveniently close to shopping, restaurants and even the carnival port for cruisers. We stayed the night before our cruise for May16. Check in/out was east ave quick. I don’t remember the guys name who checked us in but he has great customer service.
