"Our room was tagged as "separate" on the Locanda San Martino website but it doesn't explain how "separate"!
To get to breakfast, we had to climb 2 stories of stone steps, walk 5 minutes to the main entrance, and walk down 2 flights. Returning meant repeating in reverse.
Anyone reserving a room marked "separate" should know what they are getting into."

"It is close to Piazza Caveoso where you don’t have to drag luggage all over the city. If you bring a car and park it in one of the Parcheggios, typically they provide transportation to the hotel for a fee. The hotel is cozy, great ambiance and great breakfast!!! Has a great location to many places in the city."

"Helpful staff and beautiful spacious room. Room was generously stocked with breakfast and snack items, which was very helpful and delicious. We wished we had stayed longer, as Matera is beautiful and has so many good restaurants."

"We had a fantastic stay. We highly recommend it. Staff was really friendly and helpful with booking dinners and providing recommendations. The room was spacious and quiet! The comment area terrace was the best. Coffee in the morning or a drink in the afternoon. A wonderful stay."

"眺望が素晴らしいとのことで2泊しました。朝焼けの景色はマテーラでもうちが一番との言葉通りでしたが、ちょっと上ったところの夕景も素晴らしかったです。
でもそれより、スタッフさんが素晴らしい。買い物に行きたいと言えば車で送迎してくれたり、チェックアウト後も最寄り駅まで送ってくれたり、相談すると嫌な顔もせず対応してくれました。マテーラのどん詰まりでアクセスは良くないので、シャトルサービスをうまく活用してください。
このホテルだけではないのですが、マテーラに行くなら蚊除け必携で。"

"Høfligt personale,ensformigt morgenmad men klarede glutenfri til ug.
1 uge med over 30gr så mangler der pool men det vidste vi jo på forhånd der ikke var.

"The room was very clean and tidy. It was also spacious and high ceiling, making my stay very comfortable and relaxing. The bed and facilities were all well kept and looked new.
The location was also very convenient to sass o caveosos.
