"Location is nice I just wish they would beautify the area . The view is of the old mall and the balcony doesn’t open . My room was 63 degrees all night and I was freezing . You can not turn the heat on and fix the issue either cause it’s a boiler system . This is the second time it happened but I stay there because compared to many other Charleston hotels this is the better . Pick your favorite old hotel . Most are old and in need of renovation . "We booked a single bedroom suite and they upgraded us to a two bedroom suite for free. It was very spacious and had all the amenities including a kitchen and living room. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Staff are super friendly. Great experience overall!"

"We stayed here to experience the Rail Explorers Elk River tour, which makes the hotel’s location convenient if one is coming from Ohio.
The beds were comfortable! The hallway carpets and furniture were all banged up or stained. The guests seemed a little rowdy the night we stayed, including an incessant yapping dog.
If you turn the AC blower on though it drowns out the other noise.

"We arrived early in the day from our flight and the reception and housekeeping team were more than accommodating and worked to get a room ready for check in well before check in time! The room was clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. It’s conveniently right next to a Starbucks. We walked downtown every day for lunch or dinner. Would stay again!"

"The booking through Expedia said that the room slept 5, but it did not. When we checked in, the front desk said there are no rooms at this hotel with pull out beds.
