"I would not stay here again. It's hotel prices in the middle of Manchester without hotel facilities. You've got to check yourself in using a QR code. Then they insisted on seeing ID before they would let me have my key. I told the staff that it isn't mandatory to carry ID in the UK (im not against that by the way I just didn't have anything on me Barr my phone). "I was in a standard room. Felt safe, slept well. Modern bathroom, very good shower. Surprised no mini fridge - staff confirmed standard rooms do not have fridges. Air Con wasn’t working. Breakfast was plentiful, good selection of hot and cold, though quality is standard, not luxurious . Staff at reception and in breakfast room were excellent. Nothing too much trouble. "

"This hotel is AWFUL. The smell of cigarettes and weed was overwhelming in the hallways and in my room. There was NO ventilation in my room without a window, so there was a portable fan that was left on. My room smelled like weed and mold. I left Garner Hotel the day I checked in to stay at another hotel nearby because the shower drain wasn’t working and the room was in a terrible condition. The manager was delusional enough to tell me the shower drain was working and said the room was fine....
