"After traveling through China last month, my expectations of what a hotel can do, especially at these prices, have drastically changed. All the furniture was in rough shape. The room smelled. The AC kept blowing the drapes around, messing with the light, the air and the privacy. The amenities for that price were meh. The hot tub was under repair. My high point was the mother/son staff team at the front desk. I would have spent a day with them and their thoughtfulness and joy if it hadn't...
