"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Burn Hall Hotel from Thursday, 4 June to Sunday, 7 June. The staff were all very friendly and professional, and the service we received in the restaurant was superb. Really great waiters. The bar staff, Tom and Carina, were very good, friendly and welcoming. "Staff are helpful and kind, and the property is very aesthetically pleasing. Super location for getting into the city easily. Though keep in mind it's an old building so the windows don't fully open, there's no AC and the fan they provide does absolutely nothing to cool you down...so with the warm weather be prepared to bake."

"The Dean Court is a charming boutique hotel that was completed in 1865 as Clergy residences for York Minster which the hotel is in the shadow of. Because you are staying in a heritage building there can be some charming challenges such as creaky floors and low clearance doorways. Despite that the positives far outweigh any challenges you may encounter. "I stayed for 4 nights at the Holiday Inn in York. I was warmly greeted by the receptionist and was checked in quickly. As I don't use lifts, the receptionist arranged for my suitcase to be taken up to my room. My room, on the 2nd floor, was big and looked very clean. There was a double bed, 2 seater sofa, TV, plenty of hanging space but only 5 hangers, and tea/coffee making facilities. "You will not find a more friendly hotel than this! Even before we arrived we got the sense of how great this would be as I phoned ahead to check parking and was met with openess and a friendly member of the team. Upon arrival, this warm welcome continued and I felt like we were the only people there, so attentive! Breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and great choice, we didn't really need lunch! Overall just a great place - bedroom was fantastic and loads of room for us and our teenager....
